Atchison Rural Water District #6 provides potable water to those in its territory that have obtained a benefit unit and corresponding meter. Currently the district provides water to over 320 meters in Atchison, Jefferson, and Leavenworth Counties in Kansas.
Atchison Rural Water District #6 is governed by a volunteer board of directors consisting of five members which meets monthly for normal district operations. An annual meeting is held to elect board members and elect officer positions in the first quarter of each calendar year.
Monthly meetings are open to the public and are held every second Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm.
